Fine texture in the laces, and canvas, along with shiny metal eyelets and iconic bright white rubber, make printing photos of the legendary Chuck Taylor shoe a challenge.

The separation for this early Converse photo illustration shows is an example of the workflow I used to color separate dozens of successful Chuck Taylor shoe collages for the Haddad company.

Before adopting my production methods, this type of design was impossible for the team at Haddad. Using my techniques a variation of the shoe photo or shoe pile has been represented in every season of Converse graphics.
