After a disappointing result from an automated software separation package, (top photo), I was asked to revisit and improve the file (bottom photo)

I added a mid tone to each balloon improving depth. I softened the highlights for better color saturation and isolated the drop shadow making it tonal to the shirt color.

Resubmits add cost in many ways. I was lucky to catch this one before it had gone very far. Many times a printer takes the blame for a bad submit when the problems lie entirely in the artwork. Artwork is often the fastest, easiest and cheapest way to address issues with a print when we know what to look for.
